Galpin Widebody Mustang Ready for Auction

Money generated from the sale of this unique and highly collectable one-off Mustang will be donated to charity.

With the Barrett-Jackson annual auction a few weeks away, we are delighted to find that the custom widebody Mustang, renderings of which we had back in August, has finally been complete and is ready to go under the hammer. Inspired by the 1969 Mustang Boss 429, Galpin Auto Sports has done the Boss proud by fitting a 700hp Ford Racing supercharged 5.0-liter V8 into the bespoke metal widebody Mustang that sits on three-piece Forgiato wheels.

Beautified with a Candy Apple Red PPG paintjob and red suede interior, the money raised from the sale of this bespoke one-of-a-kind high-performance ponycar will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital thanks to the generosity of SPX who financed the car's construction. "We are proud to support the vital care that St. Jude Children's Research Hospital provides to so many children and families, and hope to raise as much money as possible for them with our charity car auction at the Barrett-Jackson event in early 2012," said Christopher J. Kearney, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of SPX.
