BMW hasn't released any information yet on what will power their new M3 sedan, however we can guess that a performance-oriented V8 will be a viable option for the German automaker rather than something like an inline 6-cylinder affixed with a turbocharged. Even a tri-turbocharged inline-6 doesn't seem likely, however that has been heard around the CarBuzz watercooler.
Rumors of a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 engine delivering 450 hp has also been heard.
