Corvette ZR59 Stands Out at SEMA

Blending classic style with ZR1 power, this custom Chevy was one of the highlights of last week’s show.

Originally a 1959 Chevrolet Corvette, the beautifully reworked Chevy now stands proud with a complete Pro-Touring makeover coupled with a custom chassis by Art Morrison and a hand-built fiber-glass and metal body. A Corvette ZR1 LS9 V8 sits under the hood of the ZR59, which is capable of producing 750hp, and the car boasts additional cutting-edge components such as a Corvette C6 suspension, Wilwood disc brakes and a Tremec T56 six-speed transmission.

A hand-fabricated dash, center console and gauge cluster are highlights of the impressive interior that completes one of the better aftermarket projects witnessed at SEMA 2011. Unfortunately, no exact pricing was announced, but we're sure there are plenty of potential buyers out there who are more than willing to pay top dollar for something like this.
