Hot hatches were a big part of this year's SEMA show in Las Vegas. Check out some of the highlights.
SEMA 2011 brought sexy back to the hatchback in a big way. With all of the hype surrounding the awesome muscle cars, trucks and coupes presented at SEMA 2011, it could be easy to overlook all of the show's hot hatches. These hot hatches are ideal for gearheads looking to tear up the track while still being able to squeeze into an inner city compact parking space.
And best of all, they are usually quite affordable for nearly any budget.

I don't think I'll ever be able to look at a Toyota Yaris the same way again after seeing the Yaris B-Spec Club Racer. This speedy hot hatch was designed by SportsCar Magazine and is equipped with racing essentials such as an eight-point SCAA roll cage, a stripped-out interior and a tune job by Church automotive testing.

Fiat has thrown its hat into the B-Spec racing ring with the aptly named Fiat 500 B-Spec created by Road Race Motorsports. This 500 has been given a complete ambush makeover starting with its fierce blacked-out exterior. The interior has been completely stripped to cut weight and the engine has been upgraded. The 500 B-Spec pushes 133hp and features including a timing controller, Drew Tech GPS and Track mapping system and a Zeitronix Data logging system.
Mazda is attempting to revive their “Zoom Zoom” slogan with the Mazda Turbo2 Concept. The Mazda Turbo2 has an a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine pumping out 263hp. The Turbo2 has lost a few pounds weighing in at a slim and trim 2,300 pounds. The Mazda Turbo2 was built by Autobarn as a showcar and can be yours provided you can pay $94,999.
RIDES Magazine has stolen the hot hatch show at SEMA 2011 with its three custom Hyundai Velosters. Each Veloster is designed after a certain theme, in this case gaming, music and technology. Each car is crammed with tech such as flat-screen TVs, Macbooks and turntables. Consider these rides the love-child of BestBuy and Hyundai.
