Looks good, should be a pretty solid car
Andrew Grimm Nov 02, 2011
Better now than never
Shane Heid Nov 01, 2011
I would be surprised if it's higher than ten
Andrew Grimm Nov 01, 2011
I'm sure it will be lower than that
Carlie George Nov 01, 2011
Everyday I become more and more attracted now they drag racing this thing that's what's up I'm sure it's 12.9 maybe lower
Ken Madison Nov 01, 2011
A bit behind LSXtv on this....
david Feb 11, 2012
nice. that car is bad ass
Michael Palazzo Nov 01, 2011
and they put thicker drag radial on there
Andrew Grimm Nov 01, 2011
Well it is for drag racing. Don't need the extra weight
Description: He further added that it's a "clear indication that Chevrolet intends to homologate the Camaro for sportsman drag racing."

Jesse, I would love to know how a wheel goes about "slicking" a tire?? Lol
Andrew Grimm Nov 02, 2011
Must have a huge cam in there. Sounds so amazing.
Patrick Schalk Nov 01, 2011
That's what a mans car sounds like. Get outta here Lambo and Ferrari
Beto Costa Nov 01, 2011
Cool supercharger !!
Andrew Grimm Nov 01, 2011
And they had to have that hood so the supercharger could fit under the hood.
Nick Benz Nov 01, 2011
Too bad you guys dont know how to write in complete sentences...
Jesse Demasi Nov 01, 2011
Also those rims are meant for slicking the tires so those "dated" rims serve a purpose
Jesse Demasi Nov 01, 2011
Yea I agree with Vince also and that "hood piece" is actually called a coul hood that's functional and cool the engine down not for looks like most of the pasted on hood scoops on civics
Vicente Buenrostro Nov 01, 2011
I agree with vince. Tats how a camaro should really sound like.
Carlie George Nov 01, 2011
I love the way the intake sits in the v and the sound the general makes um well
Vince DeMasi Nov 01, 2011
You spelled piece wrong also and those rims are still used today for drag racing so the wheel can hold alot of rubber for slicks this car was built for speed not looks
Vince DeMasi Nov 01, 2011
I'm guessing you didn't watch the video and hear how bad ass that thing sounds it's def running off some long tube headers
Landon Combass Nov 01, 2011
AAAHHH It's a Camaro with a hood peace and dated rims!!! I've never seen anything like it!! (sarcasm) disappointing. Camaros don't look that great in my opinion.
Description: The COPO concept has been designed to handle more than one engine option, including the naturally aspirated 427 7.0-liter V8, which has the same displacement as the original 1969 COPO Camaro. It can a...

Shane Carroll Nov 01, 2011
@Hayman it's a hydrostatic trans, which is similar to a CVT in the fact that you don't change gears, but it's a 2 speed, low and high range
Dylan Bruder Nov 01, 2011
Power glide was just the name they gave it
Dylan Bruder Nov 01, 2011
The power glide is an old school 2 speed trans from GM
Hamza Hamid Nov 01, 2011
Not to be rude, but, what is a power glide?
Michael Palazzo Nov 01, 2011
that would be a great race, I'd how the Camaro would win, but I've seen a Cobra Jet at the drag strip and those things are quick.
Cory Wilhelm Nov 01, 2011
Now let's see it against a cobra jet.
Shane Carroll Nov 01, 2011
Gimme the 427 with a Powerglide, and see ya next week
Ken Madison Nov 01, 2011
That 5.3 is a boss. The Ls4 is a solid platform.
Andrew Grimm Nov 01, 2011
There's the heart of the beast.
Description: It also features a high-rise cowl-induction hood, a custom aeromotive fuel system, coil-over front suspension, lightweight COPO-specific racing wheels, and a lightweight racing brakes system. The inte...

Dennis Rech Nov 02, 2011
That would be paks not pals. Freaking autocorrect!
Dennis Rech Nov 02, 2011
My mistake. I thought the references were to the drag pals that could be ordered on the street cars. Didn't realize that ford and dodge had racers as well. What engine is in the ford? I know that ford has a 600+ cube engine in its parts catalogs.
Andrew Grimm Nov 02, 2011
Ohh for real? My fault. I remember the article about the drag version, but didn't remember anything about the V10.
Patrick Schalk Nov 01, 2011
Ahhh that's what I was thinking about. I read about it months ago. Pretty sweet either way
Joseph Flieder Nov 01, 2011
@Shane… and it's nasty
Shane Carroll Nov 01, 2011
@Andrew there was a limited production SRT10 Chally done by Mopar
Andrew Grimm Nov 01, 2011
The challenger is a two speed, but it is only a V8
Patrick Schalk Nov 01, 2011
Chally also has a two speed V10
Phillip Greene Nov 01, 2011
Or the chally for that matter there drag cars plain and simple it would be a good heads up oem race
Phillip Greene Nov 01, 2011
This is a chevy cobra jet if u will that mustang is not a street car at all
Michael Palazzo Nov 01, 2011
I think it would be fair, those cobra jets are pretty darn quick tho
Andrew Grimm Nov 01, 2011
No the challenger is lightened up even with a roll cage, and has huge rear tires also.
Dennis Rech Nov 01, 2011
In all honesty, I don't believe that would be a fair race. This car is lightened up considerably and has gearing and fuel system optimized for drag racing. The others are a blend of street and race. Probably need a race license just to order this.
Vince DeMasi Nov 01, 2011
Good idea I wanna see that
Andrew Grimm Nov 01, 2011
Yea that is what I was thinking. Might be a good race.
Irvin Jose Centeno Nov 01, 2011
Would be interesting to see it run against the cobra jet mustang and challeger r/t drag pak
