Hopefully within a few years I will be able to own an LS6 in my 240sx. Everyday I think about doing the swap and hearing that amazing sound of the first start up.
I don't believe there's an LS8 or LS5 but it could've been something around the 327ci engine. And yes LS9 is nice too. There's SO many of them. They are all great. I'm glad I'm lucky to enough to have an LS1. That's the grand pappy of the LS engines
I'm no GM fan but, the LS is one of the most awesome engines EVER. When you look at the raw power GM is able to get out this old school pushrod engine, keeping the package small and versatile, it's a testament to the design and ingenuity at GM. Like!

In ways of being able to handle loads of power, the LSX is my vote. But the best stock V8? Not sure. Too many to think of. Depends on the class you are talking about. it depends of you are talking about in corvettes, hypercars, supercars, or racecar

And I am glad that they have kept the corvette with a V8 all it's life except the first two years of the C1 it had the 'Blue Flame' I6. Unlike Ford they have V6 options for their mass production sports cars.

And ford used to have pushrod engines. They dropped it because of emissions and joined the wagon that most other manufactures are on with the DOHC and all of that. Chevy has stuck with the pushrods and in sure will stick with it for a while konger

Fords engines can put out the same power with a much smaller engine due the there use of TECHNOLOGY that's what's got them ahead of the other 2 and that why they are the only domestic worth mentioning and that's why there the only one that can....

Haha the most "bad ass small block ever built" get real buddy it's got pushrods still it's just a lazy over sized relic from the 60's and isn't even in the competition for top small block V8
They are THE baddest small block ever built. Match that with a manual 6sp and a 3100lb car and that's a recipe for awesome. Not to mention everything else the Z06 has going for it.
Off the top of my head I know it's a 427Ci aluminum block, dry sump oil system, 505hp/475-490lb ft, virtually a flat torque curve, 7.0L, CNC ported heads, forged intervals, 11.0:1 compression, titanium rods, and they are handbuilt.
Wow GM needs to learn how to build an engine how can they barely get over 500 horse with a 7L
To me, my favorite part of the Z06 is the rear end. Absolutely love those pipes!
