Video: 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon Sets a Standing Mile World Record
Hennessey owner John Hennessey has set a new standing mile world record in his Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon.
Station wagons are slowly making their way into the auto enthusiast's consciousness in the U.S. Powerful wagons are already considered the bee's knees in Europe, however Americans are slowly starting to appreciate speedy family cars the way we here at CarBuzz have come to know and love. Case in point: The 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon. The standard CTS-V Sport Wagon can put out 556hp from its 6.2-liter V8.
Thanks to Hennessey Performance, the "Hammer Wagon" was boosted up to 700hp and was taken to the Texas Mile. It ran a record-breaking speed of 189.7mph. Check out the video clip below to witness another day in the life of one of the most envied bosses in the automotive industry.
After the incredibly impressive performance, Hennessey chief John Hennessey drove his CTS-V Sport Wagon 175 miles home. It is his daily driver.
