Cadillac is at the Nurburgring to test out their 2013 ATS sport sedan.
In what has been called "probably the most important car Cadillac has ever done," by GM North America President Mark Reuss, the luxury car company is taking their 2013 ATS to the Nurburgring-Nordschleife in Germany for testing. Labeled by Jackie Stewart as 'the Green Hell,' the General Motors subsidiary could think of no better place to run their latest model ragged during its prototype phase than the famed German racetrack. Cadillac believes that the new ATS luxury sport sedan wil rival the BMW 3-Series.
Reuss continued "I think you'll find this car more entertaining than anything else in the segment." The video below was posted on Cadillac's Facebook page and gives an inside look into the development and behind-the-scenes action of the 2013 Cadillac ATS on the Nurburgring.
The car arrived at the Nurburgring in September and has been worked out thoroughly on the German track. It should feature a direct-injected V6 engine designed for efficiency and performance and is scheduled to begin production in summer 2012.
