Most of the time, when you see a modern interpretation of a classic theme in automotive that has also been designed by a student, it is truly awful. The Rolls Royce Apparition, on the other hand, is something completely different. This 1:4 scale model was designed by Jeremy Westerlund, and harks back to the age when Rolls was building cars where the chauffer sat in front of the cabin, in the style of the even older horse-drawn carriages.
No matter how you feel about it at first glance, we keep finding ourselves looking over the pictures over and over. Should a real Apparition ever be built, the proportions would be epic, at more than 23 feet long, it would be four feet longer than the already hugely imposing Phantom. We have only one tiny little suggestion for Mr. Westerlund: please give the poor bastard who has to drive this beast at highway speeds a windshield, this setup is just cruel.
