2011 Lexus IS: A Facelift

The 2011 Lexus IS has received a facelift for the 2011 model year (2010 model shown). The 2011 Lexus IS receives minor changes such as daytime running LEDs, as well as a revised front bumper. Also, few updates are seen for the interior. These updates include a USB connector and an aluminum trim. According to Lexus, the 2011 IS will also be 15 percent more fuel efficient than the current model. However, it appears that the big improvements will be seen on the 2011 Lexus IS F Sport model.

Coming new on the IS is the steering wheel will be getting some new accents, and a chrome strip has been added above the glove box. Outside, the exterior also receives a new wheel pattern that has a similar look to the LFA's design, fog lights that have been redesigned along with the bumper inset, and the taillights have been reworked as well. Although the Lexus IS had just undergone an update in 2009 for the, this minor facelift only serves to prove that the current IS will remain in the lineup until 2012.
