Here's one of those amazing human feats that you can only marvel at because of it's size, and because of the power it generates. The world's largest diesel engine it is a V8 that produces 22,500 horsepower and fills up and entire building. Built in 1932 it stands 12.5 meters tall and 24.5 meters wide, weighs 1,400 tons and once supplied Copenhagen with electricity. Nowadays it is started up on the first and third Sunday of every month at 11 am and runs for 5 to 10 minutes.
