Regardless of what car you're driving, the Italian State Police will surely have no problem keeping up with you in their Lamborghini Gallardo. Lamborghini donated two Gallardo's to the State Police department and it's been outfitted with modern law enforcement technologies such as a gun holster, radio equipment, and a special refrigerator that can be used to transport organs for medical emergencies.

A total of 30 police officers were trained to drive the cars and each one has accumulated over 80,000 miles from service patrol. Now, here's where I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry. One of the Gallardo's was involved in a serious accident that left it completely totaled. In late November 2009 it made, shall we say, direct contact with a row of parked cars after it was clipped by a careless driver heading onto the road while not first checking oncoming traffic. That's definitely one way to prevent Mr. Policeman from pulling you over - just drive right into him.
