Edge Receives Major Upgrades

For 2011, the Ford Edge receives its first major refresh since its introduction in 2006. The front grille and bumpers have been redesigned to incorporate an updated Ford front fascia design. In addition, the interior has been significantly upgraded with an improved layout and better quality materials. In the previous model, there were gaps in between panel pieces along the dash and center console.

The updated model now has a one-piece style dash casing that looks more modern and is more user-friendly. A new suspension is also part of the package of updates and is now more responsive and should improve overall agility. The updates done on the Edge will force the competition - mainly from Chevrolet Traverse and Dodge Journey - to rethink their crossover strategy. The new Edge is simply that good of a car.
