Tesla Psychedelic Roadster Art Car

Occasionally, we see an automaker go out on a limb and creates an homage to an art style or form. We saw the Warhol-inspired BMW M1 and the crochet-covered Morris Minor, both examples of the melding of art and automobiles. Tesla has now introduced its first foray into this subject with a Roadster worked up by Laurence Gartel. The artist covered each of the sports car's body panels in a vinyl wrap with a trippy digital swirl design.

The result is definitely trippy and conjures up some nostalgic feelings of the '70s. Tesla showed the car off at the Miami Art Basel Festival.
